The Heliocentric Theory:
Nicolaus disagreed with Ptolemy's theory, The Geocentric Theory. He thought that the whole concept of the Earth being in the middle of the universe, with all the planets revolving around it was all wrong. Then, Copernicus came up with the idea that the sun was the center of the universe. His theory was called, The Heliocentric Theory. It was based on a diagram/model of the sun in the middle of the whole universe, and all the other planets revolving around it. But, without Galileo finding his work, nobody would've believed him. But Galileo did have a hard time trying to convince everybody.
